Roleo
3 min read

The best career moves often start with a friend saying "you should look at this".
Until now, that only paid off if the role was at your own company. Now you can refer great people to open roles at startups hiring through Roleo, and earn €2,000 when they're hired.
If the person you referred ends up hired for a different role on Roleo within 6 months, you still earn €1,000. Your referral follows the person, not the role.
A trusted intro beats a hundred applications
Hiring has never been noisier. Every role attracts hundreds of applications, more of them written by AI, and the people doing the hiring can't tell who's actually an expert in their field. What cuts through is another person saying "you should talk to them".
That's why Roleo pays €2,000 for an introduction: a vouch from someone who knows the candidate is worth more than a stack of CVs. You know great people. Roleo manages the roles, checks the fit, and handles the rest.

How it works
Four steps in total. The first two are on you.
- Pick a role. Open the Refer & earn page on your Roleo dashboard, choose a role, and get your referral link.
- Send a quick text to anyone you'd recommend. They'll see the role and can sign up if they'd like to be considered.
- Roleo checks the fit. If it's a match, the person you referred gets an interview invitation without applying, and stays anonymous until accepting.
- They get the job, you get paid. The €2,000 bonus goes straight to your bank account.
The roles worth a thought
Roleo works with early-stage startups across Europe, and the roles open for referrals change as they hire.
Expect a mix: founding engineers, product leads, AI and ML roles, growth, sales, research, and the occasional specialist like a fraud analyst. Most come with a €2,000 bonus. See what's open right now on the Refer & earn page.
What it's like to be referred
Signing up is all it takes. No application form, no CV upload.
Roleo evaluates the fit, and if it's a match, the hiring manager reviews the anonymous profile and sends an interview invitation. Their identity stays hidden until the invitation is accepted. If it's not a match, no name gets shared.

Questions you might have
- Who can I refer, and how many people?
Anyone you'd recommend for the role, and as many as you like. They don't need a Roleo account to open your link. In order to be considered for a role, they'll have to sign up.
- Can I refer someone who already uses Roleo?
No. Referral bonuses are for introducing people who are new to Roleo. If someone's already on Roleo and a role fits them, Roleo will reach out to them directly.
- What if someone else refers the same person?
The first referral link they open and sign up through counts.
- Where can I see the status of my referrals?
In the My referrals tab on the Refer & earn page. You'll see each person you've referred, the role, and where they are in the process.
- Will my employer know?
No. Referring someone is private, and your current employer sees nothing.
- When is the bonus paid?
The bonus is paid to your bank account once the contract is signed.
- How long does the €1,000 rule last?
Six months from when the person you referred signs up through your link. If they're hired for a different role on Roleo in that time, you earn €1,000.
